  4. The opening of the Archaeometry Students's Association (UBFGG); November 2007;
  5. Establishing the inventory of the amber archaeological pieces from Romania, of Roman and post-Roman epoch, and their classification as available/ unavailable for laboratory expertise (MNIR); preparing for phase 2;
  6. Registration of the material types encountered in the archaeological discoveries of Roman and post-Roman age; their primary classification (photographed, weighted, described) in the database (MNIR, UBFGG); preparing for phase 2;
  7. Launching the consortium's web-site (project and partnership presentation) and of the operational databases (online; MNIR)
    PHASE II. The study of Roman and post-Roman amber artefacts (January-December 2008).
  1. Establishing the physicochemical properties of Roman and post-Roman amber artefacts with controlled origin (MNIR, INCCR, INSB, IFIN-HH) and the realization of a preliminary historical study;
  2. Realization of the inventory with amber archaeological pieces from Romania, of prehistoric age, and their classification as available/ unavailable for laboratory expertise (MNIR); preparing for phase 3;
  3. Registration of the material types encountered in the archaeological discoveries of prehistoric age; their primary classification (photographed, weighed, described) in the database (MNIR, UBFGG); preparing for phase 3;
  4. The realization of a map with the distribution of the mineral resources in the territory, having an archaeological relevance, according to the IGR inventory (IGR; MNIR);
  5. Establishing of a study of the distribution of the main mineral resources from Romania, having an archaeological relevance, according to the specialized literature (UBFGG);
